It’s time to start a conversation about the beauty of each stage with our kids. When they were younger, we recognized how fast they grow and change. As they get past 9, 10, 11 years old it’s easy to forget to document that they are still changing just as quickly. This age is too important not to celebrate, and too valuable to put off another year. It’s time we recognize the significance in these tweenage years and document them!

We are a product based portrait studio, specializing in artwork for your home. We love serving parents and grandparents who want to see their photographs living as a beautiful framed print or canvas on the wall, or as a storytelling collection of images in an album or folio box. Each image purchased in this way will also come with it’s matching social media file for sharing!
What is our process?
INQUIRY CALL
We’ll start with a quick chat, either over the phone or Zoom, to start the process. In the call we’ll make sure we answer all of your questions and look at availbility for booking your photo shoot. A $400 retainer will be taken at the time of booking, which will then be applied toward your artwork order and any extra hair & makeup services we might want to include. We do not charge a session fee.
DESIGN PLANNING
A few weeks before our photo day, we’ll sit down together and plan everything out. We’ll answer all of your questions about what to wear, how many looks we’d like to include, and what products you’d like to create. By the end of this consult you’ll have a clear picture of the scope of our project, how much you can expect to spend, and how we can make this a great experience for each member of the family!
PHOTO SHOOT
We pride ourselves on creating a fun and beautiful experience full of love and connection. This is a time for you parents (or grandparents!) to feel completely pampered and relaxed, not stressed out. We take care of the kids. We tell you exactly where to stand and what to do to make sure you are skillfully posed and beautifully lit. In other words, we plan the work and then work the plan!
ARTWORK ORDERING SESSION
This is the fun part! About 3-7 days after your photo shoot we’ll get together to celebrate and see all the images we’ve created together. We’ll finalize our order with artisan made legacy pieces that will compliment your home decor style. Our designer Wall Art, Reveal Boxes, and Albums are all custom made in the US and Italy using archival materials. Legacy matters in our products!

Hi, I’m Emily
When I chose to study Photography after 15 years of teaching & playing the piano, it was because I wanted to create something that would be truly helpful in people’s lives. Now I see the images I’ve helped create shared on LinkdIn profiles, Facebook feeds and in Magazines. They are proudly displayed on walls and bookshelves in loving homes. They are cherished by Moms whose babies are now too big to pick up. Shared by proud Grandparents who live outstate. They’ve helped new college grads find their first ‘real’ job and have helped local companies stay in business through a pandemic.
Everyone has a meaningful story they are living. Whether it’s personal or professional, we have something important in our lives that is worthy of photographing (especially ourselves!). I love working with authentic people like you who are not model perfect. You just need a steady hand to guide you through the process of ‘making a photograph’ with care and compassion. It’s very important work and I absolutely love getting to do it every day.
Now that we’ve broken the ice, I’ll tell you a few random things about me so I’m not so scary when I point the camera at you. First, I’m a mom to Wally (11 yrs) and Arthur (9 yrs) and golden retriever ‘daughter’ Tillie. We live in Minnetonka near my favorite dog park – Purgatory Park. My favorite vacation spot in MN is Ely, where I’ve visit most summers since I was six years old and now bring my boys to every summer. I’m 6′ tall, left handed, an Enneagram 9 (the Peacemaker), and this year will celebrate a big milestone birthday. I love coffee ice cream, jogging (not running), Schitt’s Creek, and can quote most of The Princess Bride or sing any Chopin Nocturne.
